The Frontier of Robotics

Robotic Elements has over 15 years of combined experience developing and building (wearable) robots, which are at the frontier of robotics. With the extensive technological progress made in the areas of drives, sensors and processing, exoskeletons and other wearable devices have become more feasible. However, the stringent requirements in regards to size and weight continue to exert a strong influence on the system-wide design of these devices and present many obstacles to a successful solution. This unique set of requirements makes developing a working and optimal solution incredibly hard.

Once a hardware solution has been found, the next challenge becomes software and controls. For robots to become like us or interface with us, they have to be safe, highly dynamic and flexible while performing complex tasks and recognize their environment. Therefore, control algorithms are complex and must still run in real-time.

Over time we have developed optimized hardware and software solutions that fit these difficult requirements for a variety of robotic devices.
